I'm going to give you some SECRETS that can make Network Marketing REALLY work for you. This is different than anything you’ve ever heard. You may take notes if you wish.
First, let me ask you a question. Do you know the difference between a SPONSOR and a RECRUITER? A sponsor is a teacher, a coach. His job is to help his downline become successful. His main job begins AFTER a person enrolls. A recruiter is a salesman. He’s like a hunter trying to bag his game. He’s got to make the kill. Once he does that, his job is done. When a recruiter signs you up, he has completed his job. When a sponsor signs you up, his job has just started. It’s like the difference between a one night stand and getting married. With a REAL sponsor, there’s a commitment. With a recruiter, there’s no commitment. Once he makes the sale, he’s gone. There’s a huge difference between a recruiter and a sponsor. That brings us to SECRET #1.
Secret #1: Network Marketing is NOT recruiting.
This also leads us into SECRET #2. Network Marketing is NOT sales.
Network Marketing is not sales. Our industry has been invaded by aliens - - - the sales people. And they want us to become like them - - - sales professionals. The problem is, most people don’t want to sell. Why would they want to be a sales professional? They don’t want to overcome objections. They don’t want to "CLOSE" on people. They don’t even LIKE these hucksters. Why would they want to be one of them? Yet most training in Network Marketing is sales training - trying to get non-sales type people to be sales types. The bad news is we’ve got these sales trainers trying to invade our industry. But the good news is Network Marketing is not sales. And if it’s not sales, then you don’t need sales skill or abilities. Then what is Network Marketing? It’s training people to be sponsors. In order to have a downline that’s growing, you’ve got to have a downline of sponsors. Doesn’t that make sense?
Secret #2: Network Marketing is NOT Sales.
Secret #3.
We use a Sponsoring System for people who don't like to sell. Our system gives people FREE training - with no strings attached. Those who like what they hear, want to join us. We don’t ask people to join us, they ask US! We are not trying to convince people to join us. There IS no convincing! We only want volunteers - people who can see this working and want to join us. There’s no "CLOSING" on people. We are building an all-volunteer army. If you’ve got to convince someone to join you - probably you’ve got to convince him again next week. Who needs that? We want willing volunteers, not unwilling draftees. And that is SECRET #3: workers are all volunteers. The real workers are all volunteers. You don’t have to convince them to join. And you don’t have to motivate them to go to work. Volunteers come in with their sleeves rolled up. They say, "Just show me what to do and get out of my way". That’s what we want, willing workers. We want volunteers. SECRET #3: the REAL business builders in Network Marketing are all volunteers.
Recently, some industry research was conducted on why people join a Network Marketing program. The #1 reason was because of the sponsor. Not the company. Not the products. Not the pay plan. The #1 reason they joined was because they trusted the sponsor. The most important factor was trust in the sponsor. And that’s SECRET #4. You’ve got to get people to trust you. Now, how do you get a person to trust you with a postcard? How do you get a person to trust you if you come on like a huckster? How do you get someone to trust you if you try to "sell" them? Success in Network Marketing is not in having a good sales pitch, it’s in getting people to trust you. Success in Network Marketing is not in recruiting. It’s in getting people to trust you. And there is a very easy way to get people to trust you. You don’t try to SELL them. You just give them free training, with no strings attached. That’s what shows them that you are a REAL sponsor - not a recruiter. That’s what shows them you are a trainer. That’s what shows them that you have a sponsoring system that can work for them - - without any selling. If you can do that, you’ll have willing workers who will volunteer to work with you.
Can you see how building trust is BETTER than selling?
So what is our system? Simple! You just offer people free training. After the training, if they trust you, they volunteer.
